I upgraded yesterday to CE. I want it mostly for the art booka nd CD, that alone is worth more than $30. I have a headset and my guild has TS so those are useless to me, but maybe I can find a use for them sometime.

Getting the normal one because I'm too cheap to buy a CE edition. hehe.

Thumbs up

Last collectior's edition I ordered was Jedi Outcast (because it was on sale and I'm a fan of the Jedi Knight series). That set didn't come with anything really compelling, beyond the game itself (which was identical to stock Jedi Outcast, of course).

So I'm paying full price this time for Guild Wars Collector's Edition. I am strangely compelled by all of the evocative, fantastic artwork of Guildwars, and must have the art book. And of course Jeremy Soule's terrific score on CD.

And I like the box cover art. Is that wrong?

The marketing staff truly did a good job with this package by including just the right extras to hook a usually skeptical gamer. Good job!

I'm getting the Collector's Edition for several reasons:
1. I need the headset.
2. I like art, and therefore I want the art book.
3. The OST, Divine Aura, and Teamspeak hosting are just extras I'm interested in.

To be honest, since I need a headset anyway (As far as Canadian currency goes) I'm really not losing anything upgrading to the Collector's Edition, so that's fairly strong incentive to get it.

I got the CE at EB; upgraded it and it ended up costing $86 total with tax. I wanted the headset and artbook personally. All my headsets tend to break; the bridge between the 2 ear pieces broke on one of mine, the second one I tripped over the wire and snapped it, third one is just really old and pinches my head.

I voted for the Collector's Edition, but I'm going to have to end up settling with the normal retail version. I preordered through Best Buy, and if the stories are true, I'll have enough trouble even having them honor the preorder, let alone have them upgrade to the CE.

Besides, I'm cheap, I don't have a whole lot of money, and unless I get some really big tips at work I won't have much cash to blow. But we'll see I suppose.

I ordered the Deluxe Edition from BestBuy, wich they cancelled on me, so ill be lucky if i get the Collectors Edition at all. This was the 1st time i Pre-ordered online from BB, damn them and theyre special online promotion. If they dont do something for me,( CS needs 2-3 business days to figure out my problem) Im going to go buy from EB or GameStop. Even though i wanted the Kathan Targe for my WA/MO.

How does this work, I pre-ordered from BB, They canceled my order because they messed the price up, so if i buy the CE elsewhere do i still get the Kathan's Targe because i purchased it at BB ? what a mess !

The normal game is 49.99 American or 59.99 Canadian, whereas the Collector's Edition is 79.99 American or 89.99 Canadian.
